About us…

Glasgow University Applied Visual Arts Society was founded in 2009 by four final year students as a society for the visual arts, emphasising creativity and fun in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is welcome at our informal workshops!

What does Guava do?

Guava runs regular creative sessions and workshops. Last year we ran regular knitting meetings, printmaking sessions, life drawing classes, and a dressmaking course, and we also held an end of year Guava exhibition to display our work. This year we’ll be continuing these activities, and adding new ones. Take a look at our events calendar to see what’s coming up!

Who is Guava for?

Guava is for anyone who enjoys being creative. You don’t have to be able to draw/paint/knit to join Guava, all you need is enthusiasm to try new things. Our workshops are very relaxed and we keep the cost per workshop as low as possible, so you can try new things without breaking the bank.

Feel free to join us at our semi-regular workshops, everyone is welcome. Check the 2010/2011 Workshops and Events pages for the latest information.
